Emergency kits vary in size depending on both the purpose of the kit and the distance, terrain, and/or the climate you may need to carry it. For example, an EDC is small and compact, designed for carrying on your persons daily. A BOB is a large backpack traditionally and designed to allow you to live away from your home for an extended amount of time and will remain at a secondary location or at your residence.

EDC (Every Day Carry)the EDC or Every Day Carry is small and compact. It is designed to carry essential daily items that is kept on your person. Many people confuse this kit with a GHB or Get Home Bag that is larger and kept in a vehicle or work, school, etc. Your EDC can be a few items for personal defense or larger to include survival items and first aid.
