I only link to products and services that I use and love- and I think you will too. I am not a gadget person. I have no desire for all the latest a greatest kitchen tools, farm tools, or beauty tools... But there are a few tools that make my homesteading life a little easier, and a siphon hose is one of them. My "love" for the new safety spouts on fuel cans these days is well known, but if you don't know yet- I actually loathe them. I am sure they are needed for and even liked by some folks, but for the rest of us they slow us down and create a mess. A 5 gallon fuel can that is full can weigh about 31 pounds and while that doesn't sound like very much, it is when you are trying to manage a safety spout, hang onto the can, and reach over the steering wheel on a tractor. Now you don't NEED to purchase a siphon hose, you can make one with some garden hose and use it will some determination and a non-existent gag reflex. You can take it a step further and purchase these spouts similar to what most of us grew up with and swap out the safety spout, however you'll still be hanging onto a heavy can. These "new" old spouts are a great option for small jobs or for folks that don't mind hanging on to can while performing fueling acrobatics. For the rest of us, this siphon hose works perfectly! It's so easy to use, I created a quick video on how to use it... Seriously, so quick. I think the intro and closing is longer than the actually tutorial. If you decide to buy one or already own one, comment below with your thoughts using it. Thanks for watching, and keep on prepping! -Kirsten
