A LifeStraw would add a crucial element to my gear - clean water anywhere at anytime. Sure, water can be boiled etc. but sometimes ya just gotta stay on the move. LifeStraw could be a LifeSaver.

While I have some prepackaged water, and some tablets inmy go-bag, water is one area where I recognize a deficiency in my gear. I am near a water supply, but it is not palatable as-is, and my long term shtf plans involve distilling, but there may be times when that is simply not a viable solution.

I had an experience once, while on active duty. While hiking through the jungle in Panama, we came across a small village. Having depleted our water supply in our canteens, we drank from their village well. Montezuma's Revenge doesn't even come close to what I experienced. TMI? Needless to say, one of these filters sure would have come in handy back then. Certainly would today as well. ;-)

We have water stored up, yet in an event that we have to leave our house (or something happens to our house), we would NEED a water filter. I live way out in the woods on a secluded mountain road and I live a semi-homesteading kind of life. I can't drink my well water unfortunately so I'm forced to have water delivered until I'm able to invest in home filtration. We have severe snow storms here in the mountains and I'm sometimes snowed in and outside vehicles cannot make the pass to my house - this can include my water delivery! So I would use a LifeStraw any time I am not able to receive my precious drinking water!

A Lifestraw would come in handy when taking the kids out on horseback in the woods and teaching them about bugging out, survival, and essentials before it happens. Our youngest needs experience adjusting ahead of time to things we will need to do in an emergency situation and that includes use of equipment like the Life Straw to drink from creeks and other areas.

it would go nicely in my 12 yo girls bag I'm putting together for her for her birthday. Although it's for her birthday, she's going to have to earn it piece by piece starting with the compass. She'll need that to find the rest.

Even if snhtf I could use it when I loose power for days. Which does happen. Thanks for the opportunity!

With the flooding and fires around here water acces gets cut off sometimes and we have to boil water. Need to have a filter on hand for faster access.

I work with people who have disabilities and they struggle with comprehending the serious nature of being prepared. I would use it as a visual teaching aid to help them comprehend one of the many ways one can be prepared for what ever may come their way

I would test it and if it works for myself and family, then I would put it in my BOB, and the other ones I purchased, would go in to my families and long term storage ;)

I would put it in my backpack for when I go hiking in the Ozarks with my kids. People have gotten lost and been stuck overnight before and while I have not, it's best to be prepared.

This is something I have been wanting to get! Water is a big concern for me and while I have addressed the issue for home, I really want a LifeStraw for my emergency bag. Fingers crossed! :)

I'd be grateful for a life straw in an emergency, as I'm disabled due to an accident. Part off my spinal cord injury is that I sweat profusely with any physical stressor. I consume large amounts of water every day. I'm still learning to cope with life changes and water is a critical component of survival that would be difficult to obtain and purify. Thanks Betty!

My plan for the Life Straw, should I win it, is to put it in safe keeping against a future day of need (SHTF scenario). We have a well on our place here, so we do have access to water, however, it must be filtered and purified. It is perfectly usable as is to flush commodes by hand, etc. However, for drinking and cooking, it will have to be treated. I am a diabetic, and I drink a great deal of water daily. The Life Straw would be invaluable to me in a serious situation.

I already have a couple for my husband and me. So, I would give any others away to my grown children who are just getting on the prepper bandwagon.

Considering that I don't have anything for purifying water yet, I would add it in my bugout bag and be very happy that it was available.

My husband has been wanting to try a lifestraw both for survival gear, but also for hunting and camping. So, while I would like to get some to add to prepping supplies, the lifestraw personal filter would probably also see some regular use :)

I've been wanting a LifeStraw for my hiking bag but after reading some of the other comments I think it may just be kept in the car so it is always close by wherever I am whenever I need it.

A life straw would be great to have around here on our property to help with the creek water if all electrical is lost and we lose the usage of our well.

I've wanted a Life-Straw for awhile now but can't afford it. Water is vital to life but in addition to that I am on daily medication and need to stay hydrated. The Life-Straw would go right into my purse along with everything else that I carry with me at all times "just in case".
