Id give a test run ,hopefully on a deer hide from this seasons hunt.Once i know it works as advertised it would probably go into the BOB.I may also purchase a 2nd one if it works that well at skinning.It looks like it would be very useful removing fat etc from a skinned hide

That's some cool tool. If I won it I'd share it with my daughter and together we'd go into the woods and learn how to use it. Nothing like practice to get you thinking in the right direction in an emergency. It looks like a really good addition to our homestead tool kit, too.

I would love to have a Fremont knife. One of the things I would do with it is try it out on different things first. The most important thing would be is to keep it into car. If ever stranded it would be very useful. I also would use it for protection.
