Calendula salve is one of those homestead first aid staples that you want to keep on hand. It is versatile, easy to make, and you can customize it with some essential oils and BOOM! you have a perfect gift. This sunny and simple calendula salve recipe takes just a few minutes to make if you keep your infused oils on hand. If you don't have any, don't sweat it... It will just take a bit longer, but it's worth the small effort. Contained in the post are some links to specific products I use. Some of these links are affiliate links where if you chose to purchase the items, I make a tiny commission. There is no additional cost to you, but you are helping to support me and keeping more of these blog posts coming and coming without those annoying blinking ads everywhere. :)
I use calendula salve for just about everything. It's my "Windex" for those of you that are familiar with the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It soothes chapped lips, dry skin, is great for bug bites, scrapes, and other minor skin irritations. I have even used it to diaper the Littles, though you may want to use a liner in your cloth diaper to make cleaning easier. Simple Calendula Salve 8 ounces Calendula Infused Oil 1 oz of Beeswax *Optional: 20-30 drops of Lavender EO Step 1 Melt your wax and infused oil over a double boiler set on low heat. Once fully melted, remove from heat and add in your optional essential oil. Step 2 Pour into 2 ounce tins (makes approximately 4 tins) or into a 2 ounce jelly jar (makes approximately 2). Let it cool and harden up, add the lid, then you are ready to use it or gift it. Yup, that's it! It really can't be any easier. :) Hope you like this recipe!

I do have a way if you are too impatient to wait for your oil to be infused to make it quicker. If you want I can post it in comments.
